Chief Technology Officer
Watertown, MA
Adrian Gropper, MD is CTO of the non-profit Patient Privacy Rights Foundation where he brings training as an engineer from MIT (ME ‘74) and physician from Harvard Medical School (MD ‘78) followed by a career as a medical device entrepreneur. My current work is all about human agency online and a Free Software implementation of a standards-based self-sovereign technology stack. It's called HIE of One Trustee and the first instance will be a homeless health record in Atlanta. Each person owns and controls a separate virtual machine that responds to personal information requests semi-autonomously. The dominant standards in the stack are blockchain decentralized identifiers, verifiable credentials, and User Managed Access (UMA).
